Dear Southside is a local newspaper and digital platform telling and recreating the untold stories of South Central. The stories being told about South Central have previously been more alarming and harming than a real reflection of what this community is and represents for its residents. As gentrification moves across the Southside it is our responsibility to tell the stories of the people, businesses and non-profits existing, sustaining each other and supporting the people throughout South Los Angeles. Established in 2017, print copies of Dear Southside are available every summer in local businesses throughout South Central. Dear Southside is by the community for the community. We welcome pitches and contributors.
